Our Ministry Updates Please Read

Tonight we have just arrived home from Bible service in the family whose love one has departed and be buried tomorrow.  The other week we have 4 successive nights Bible service in the two families who also have love ones to be with the Lord.

In the past 3 weeks, there were 4 families that we have to support morally, spiritually and prayerfully because each of these families has lost a loved one and they are close to us.

I have been very busy for my project of making kindle books to sell in Amazon. I have already one that is already published in the site and is ready for sale. In the next following days or weeks I am going to publish more.

This project is to support the work of the ministry which, it has been already a long time enough we have been praying for financial support. I am doing any decent business online for this purpose. I have two blogs and some other online businesses.  Just new babe online and hopefully this could help.

Rediscovering The Best Way To Make Money Online: Make Money By Blogging Lifestyle

This Philippines Christian Journal blog was supposedly in the paid host domain that I registered for one year, but due to some reasons I transferred it here in blogger.com. Blogger dot come is free and is hosted by google the number one search engine globally by far who owns youtube and many others and it has many online opportunities.

If you are not a member of google I encourage you to sign up for membership using the gmail.com account and you could have many opportunities here like google + and what I like the most is a hard drive online that you can store files from you computer works backups. Almost every thing online speaking of opportunities is here in your google account. To sign up for your account is totally free.

My http://alrenpages.com  blog is a registered domain that I registered on April this year 2014, which the full function was on the last days of June.  I try my best to always update and post more articles in both of my blogs.  The PCJ was just newly transferred here that is only almost two weeks on this write up.

The dates as you have seen in my previous posts are the original dates when those articles were created in my registered domain which name is the same http://philippineschristianjournal.com that is temporarily closed for now.

Some contents of this blog are my sermon  outlines, my articles,  teaching materials, photos and updates of our ministry here. I have also some advertisements here of my other online businesses. You can subscribe for updates by signing up on the subscribe bar at the top of the left sidebar.  When you are already subscribed, you will receive an email for every post I posted on here.

Thanks for your continues support.

God's blessings will be multiplied on your account.

Biblical Salvation Is The Spiritual Deliverance From Sin

Originally written by Pastor Alberto Rendon

I want to tackle in this post about Biblical salvation.  And I hope that it gives more understanding to those who are in doubt about their salvation.

Many people knew about Salvation but they have never understood what salvation is all about. In this study, I want you to understand about Biblical salvation.

What is Salvation?

Salvation is a deliverance from disasters or punishment. At times, the Bible uses the word salvation for the temporary and physical deliverance, like the deliverance desired by the Apostle Paul to be released from prison (Philippians 1:19).

Mostly in the Bible, the word salvation is based on Spiritual and eternal deliverance from the penalty of sin. The Apostle Paul is talking about salvation in Ephesians chapter two (Eph. 2), it’s about the spiritual salvation.

Salvation is the spiritual deliverance from the penalty of sin, received only through faith in Jesus Christ who saved people from God's punishment for sin.

Romans 5:1, 9  “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,.. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!”

If we do really understand that by faith in Jesus Christ who died on the cross for us, we are justified before God and He saved us from the penalty of sin.

Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,..”

Biblical or spiritual salvation is the deliverance from the penalty of sin.

Who saved us from the penalty of sin?

It’s God who personally delivered us through Jesus Christ because of his grace, not by our good works. (2 Timothy 1: 9).

2 Timothy 1:8 - 9 “So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,..”

How can we receive salvation, is it by doing good works or by membership in a religious group? The Bible says it’s only by faith and it’s not through good works either membership in a religious group (Ephesians 2: 8-9).

According to what is written in the Bible in the book of Ephesians 2:8 that Salvation is a gift of God. Gift means, freely given, the giver never requires a payment for it. And it is because it’s a gift; the only thing we must do is to accept by faith believing it has already given to us.

If salvation is received by faith plus good works, salvation cannot be considered as a gift anymore but a reward. Many people believe that salvation is received by faith plus good works. And if it so, we have got a problem.

The problem is, how many good works we must do to receive salvation? There is nothing in the Bible that we can find how many good works to accomplish in order that God will give us salvation.

If we give a number of good works to be accomplished to receive salvation, I must have to do all of them and after I have accomplished all of them, I have already paid my salvation and no more.

And if I cannot accomplish all of them because I missed one, so I am not saved and all the others that I did are useless, more likely still I am going to receive punishment for my sin of missing one good work. That is why salvation is by faith alone not by faith plus good works.

What kind of faith you must have to receive salvation?

The faith to receive salvation is called saving faith. It is not the kind of faith to believe in God. Faith in God is different from saving faith. Saving faith believes what God has done in Christ Jesus for us. While faith in God believes that there is a God.

To believe that there is a God cannot save. Almost all people have this kind of faith and even the demons have this faith. But not all people believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our salvation.

To have faith in God cannot save us, but it is necessary or else you cannot have the saving faith. That is why Jesus said in John 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (KJV)

The Good Works

Faith in God could also produce good works. And that is good morally. But it cannot produce righteousness in the standard of God.

That reason why the Bible says, there is no one righteous no not one (Romans 3:10).  Even the Israelite people who have accomplished the ten commandments of Moses still God did not consider them righteous.

They were maybe righteous in the standard of men like Job and Noah, but in the standard of God their righteousness is like a filthy rag (Isaiah 64:6).

That is why the Bible says no righteous no not one that includes, Job, Noah, Mary the mother of Jesus and all good people in the whole world before Jesus Christ died and rose again from the dead.

Only the people who have the saving faith or having the faith in Jesus Christ can be considered righteous in the sight of God because they have been justified by faith (Romans 5:1).

The good works produced by the saving faith are now credited on the believers of Jesus as acceptable in God’s sight, and the righteousness as the result of the faith in Jesus Christ is not like a filthy rag anymore, but as sweet smelling savor, holy and acceptable in the sight of God.

Now it comes out that faith plus salvation result good works or righteousness in the lives of the believers of Jesus Christ our Lord. And we cannot find a problem with it and is a sound doctrine.

What Is New Life All About

Originally Written by Pastor Alberto Rendon

"Go, stand in the temple courts," he said, "and tell the people the full message of this new life." Acts 5:20

The Bible says there is a New Life. There is a new life and we must tell the people the full message of it.  What is this New Life? Who has this New Life? Who gave this New Life? How to have this New Life?

These are the questions that we must find the answers. Ignorance to the answers of these questions would make you wonder the real meaning of life.

Life is full of meaning. It is a wonderful thing we have; unless you understood the meaning of life you will not enjoy the reality of life. Your life would be useless and full of sorrow and loneliness.

Life should have a full of joy and peace. Unless you have the New Life you will not experience the true joy and peace of God.

What is New Life?

Some believe it is a new religion. Some believe it is a life being changed from bad habits. Some believe that it is a life saved from the danger and others believe that it is a life that has been fulfilled the New Year’s resolution.

This New Life is so very important to God. This is the life that God desires that all people should have. This life is so very precious that it is the death of the most important person that paid it.

What this New Life Is All About?

None of the above beliefs got the answer. You may have a nice religion but cannot have this New Life. You may have changed your bad habits and you still do not have this New Life. You maybe saved from death, sickness and accident but you do not have this New Life. And you may have fulfilled the New Year’s resolution in a long period of time and still you do not have the New Life.

New Life is called in the Bible “Eternal Life.”

John 3:16 “…that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Who should to believe? Those already have the life/old life; a man of sin. A man has this old life the human life.

In order for a man who already has the old life to have the Eternal life he must believe on Him (Jesus Christ).

In other words, if a man who already believed on the only begotten Son of God has already received eternal life. 1 John 5:12-13 supported it.

If a man already has received the eternal life, it means he has another life that is eternal and to him it is a new life. That is what New Life is. Eternal Life.

New Life is called in the Bible “Spiritual Life.”

John 3:6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

The old life is born of the flesh, which is the human life the old life. But that is born of the spirit is “Spirit” the bible says.  It is clear that the life that is born in the flesh is flesh which means the old life we had. But that is born in the spirit is spirit which it means Spiritual life and that is the New Life.

Notice; both life, the old and the new has its beginning and the beginning is being born. The Bible says that which is BORN of the flesh is flesh and that which is BORN of the Spirit is spirit. The old life is being born in the flesh and the same way the Spiritual Life/New Life is being born in the Spirit, in other words born again.

Many people believe that this New Life is received after the death of the old life, which means a life in heaven. That is why many people pray for the dead that says “Lord give Him (the dead) eternal life.”

What the Bible says about who has this New Life?

In 1 John 5:12-13 it says.  “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

According to what is written in the Bible, “…He that has the son has Life.” What is this life? Simple; it is not the human life the old life but it is the New Life. It is because many people who do not have the son but still they have the life the old life. So the life here indicates the New Life that is given to those who had the Son.

In verse 13, it says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life

Who already had eternal life? Those who believe on the name of the Son of God the Lord Jesus Christ. Are they still alive? Of course. To whom it is written? To the dead or to the people who are still alive?  If we say to the dead it makes no sense.

Who gave this New Life?

1 John 5:11 “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”

It is God who gave the New Life through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In verse 13, it says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life

Those who believe on Jesus Christ.

We Have The Power Against The Devil And His Evil Spirits

Originally Written by: Pastor Alberto Rendon

James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

This is one of my favorite verses about our authority. Here we understand that our submission to God is our great opportunity to receive the power or authority.   Also we can see here how powerful we are that even the devil is afraid of us.

The devil here is Satan, he is the leader of all evil spirits. His work in the life of the people is to destroy with many kinds of tactics and strategies. He is also called a deceiver, this is one of his tactics to destroy human kinds.

People who do not know their authority against the devil are usually deceived. If the people knew their authority and use it against the devil, they will never be deceived.

We Cannot See Satan And His Evil Spirits

The devil is a spirit. Physically we cannot see spirits. However, we can see the manifestations of their works. It doesn't merely needs a discerning spirit to see the works of the devil. Every evil thing is of the devil, every evil plan and reaction done by men is under the influence of the devil.

We are living on this earth where we are surrounded by the presence of evil. The believers of God are vulnerable to the wiles of the devil.  So, we are commanded to resist the devil and he will flee from us.

How To Resist The Devil

We are not commanded to get away from the devil, but to resist him and he will be the one to get away from us. The Bible says so. Usually the devil is the one that comes to us first, it is not us that come to him in the first place.

The devil will come to our mind injecting negative and bad thoughts. The reasons people doing bad habits because they are influenced by the devil. They are deceived.   For those who believe the authority God has given to them, they can easily detect the negative and bad thoughts and automatically they can resist the devil.

1. We can resist the devil and his evil forces by using the words of command.

Every one who has the authority uses the words of command. It is only seldom to give an authority to a mute person.  Commanding someone to do a task is usually by the words of command. I thinks it's only seldom to command using the action signs.  Using words is more likely in details and understandable.

Although the devil is a spirit, he can hear our words. It is the same with God who is also a spirit when we pray or talk to Him, he can hear our words.  We do not beg or pray to the devil to get away from us but to command him with the authority the we have and he will obey us.

The devil tries to use his authority to command us to do his task and many have obeyed him, the reason there are many evils in this world done by men because of their obedience to the devil. For them that have the knowledge of good and evil based on the word of God, they can easily refuse the commands of the devil and instead they are the one to command the devil get to away from them.

2. We can resist the devil and his evil forces by using the word of God.

We can counter act using the word of God when bad and negative thoughts come into our mind. This is what Jesus did in his temptation in the desert. He always counter the devil with the word of God (Matthew 4:1-10).

It is not only enough that the devil has departed from us and leaving his ways for us to do and we did them actually. We need also to resist his ways, his tactics and his strategies. The devil can command someone to do his job and then left him alone, assuring that someone is doing his work.

We sin when we obey the commands and the temptations of the devil. But we can resist those tactics by a counter act using the word of God - a counter act to the devil's words.

That is why it is very important to have the word of God hidden in hearts. David said,  Psalms 119:11  "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."

The word of God is of great help for us not to commit sin against God. It has a power to set us free even when we have attempted or already cornered by the devil. "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32).

3. We can resist the devil and his evil forces by believing the word of God firmly.

The cause of the fall of man was disobedience to the word of God. But before the disobedience took place there was a doubt injected in the mind of Eve in the garden of Eden. Doubting the word of God will bring disobedience.

One of the tactics of the devil is to counter act the word of God in our hearts with deception.

"And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:2-4.

It is very clear that God said to  Adam and Eve not to eat nor touch the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, because when they would eat they will die.

The counter act of the devil using the serpent, "ye shall not surely die... but instead ye shall be as gods,..."

Eve believed the deception of the serpent rather than what God said as the truth.  The truth is true it shall not lie. The devil is a liar and because of that those who are deceived suffered the consequences.

We must believe and stand firm on the Word of God.  If we are determined to believe what God is saying, we can resist the deception of the evil one and we can enjoy the benefits of the word of God.

Conclusion:

Don't think that the devil has power over us, believe that we have the authority over him and his evil spirits in the name of Jesus Christ.  We are not to submit to the devil, only to God the Almighty we are to submit. By the authority God has given us the devil is the one to submit to us. And if we will resist him and his works he can do nothing against us.

That is why Paul boldly says, we are more than conquerors, Romans 8:37 "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.:
