I dedicated a child on June 2014

Today June 17, 2014 was scheduled to dedicate a child of one of our couple members. On this occasion it was a great privileged to share the word of God especially there are those Nenangs and Nenongs, visitors, friends and relatives attended to witness the dedication. I shared the word of God taken from the book of

Mark in chapter 10:13-16.13 And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15“Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” 16 And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.

From this portion of the scriptures I shared about the “Importance of Child Dedication.” It is indeed very important so that we can present the child to the Lord for His blessings to impart on the child.

I emphasized about how God could bless us or our children. In Jesus time as we have read the scriptures, that He released His blessing to the children but, He did not release his blessings until the children have come near to him so that He could touch and lay his hands on them.

In this part of the Bible, we understand that the Lord Jesus Christ will only bless those who come to Him and his blessing is always ready to impart but with a condition that somebody should come to him first. As we see here, we could say that blessed are those who come to Jesus, because He will not only accept them but He will release a blessing to them.

There was no regret of the parents that brought their children to Jesus Christ, they were not disappointed. They have seen how Jesus loved little Children. And if Jesus who is full of love released his blessings unconditionally to those who come to Him therefore, I am blessed indeed. That is why I have no regret that I have come to Jesus Christ.

Lay Hands On Them

I am a believer of the belief that there is power in laying hands. We see here that the Lord Jesus Christ is a believer of laying hands. He Laid His hands on all the Children.

Laying of hands has been practiced since long years ago before our Lord Jesus Christ was born. It is a way how they would release blessings. Laying of hands is a contact point between the one who will release the blessings and the one to be blessed.

I believe in the power of laying of hands with a proclamation of blessings. There are plenty of verses in the Bible to support laying of hands to impart what is desired for. In fact the Lord Jesus Christ last commands includes laying of hands.

Every time I dedicate a child I laid my hand proclaiming blessings for the child.
